THOMAS FORD & PARTNERS
OUR SERVICES
We provide a full range of architectural services from feasibility studies to building surveying and from conservation to new design. We have particular expertise in historic cultural buildings and places of worship and relish the challenge of unusual projects which have encompassed everything from the 71 hectare industrial site of the Royal Gunpowder Mills at Waltham Abbey to the restoration of A W N Pugin’s own house in Ramsgate. We are commissioned to undertake regular inspections of some 350 buildings and our consequential knowledge of building defects informs our own detailing and repair.
Thanks to our common association with the theoretical forum Discourse Architecture, Thomas Ford & Partners and Studio Artec are able to offer the services of both practices working together in Italy and the UK.
We offer full services against the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) plan of work for traditionally procured building contracts and a variety of partial and bespoke services to suit project needs.
Every project is different, so please contact us to discuss your particular requirements.
Fees for projects with a building contract of over £50,000 are generally charged as a percentage of the building contract value. We usually propose a lump sum fee for easily defined small works and surveys.
Work stages 0 and 7 are not required for every project and are generally time charged.
