THOMAS FORD & PARTNERS
BOULTHAM PARK
LINCOLN
Thomas Ford and Partners were appointed as Conservation Architects for the £2.3m NLHF funded project, with responsibility for the restoration and remodelling of the semi-derelict Grade II listed Stable Block and Orangery, and its conversion to provide new revenue-generating public facilities.
The resulting scheme provided a new café and visitor centre together with educational and historical interpretation rooms, a craft and cycle workshop, as well as public facilities and park staff accommodation. The Orangery is now an events and private hire venue. Within the park itself, we provided a green-roofed kiosk, and the main stable block has air-source heat pumps.
The scheme was part of a wider park regeneration covering 28 hectares by LDA Landscape Architects.
