HAINAULT FOREST COUNTRY PARK

Hainault Forest Country Park is an extensive ‘edge of London’ landscape and an extremely popular local destination, attracting over half a million visitors every year.

Working as an integral part of the Arkwood team to develop the new masterplan which strengthens links between building uses and the surrounding landscape and introduces a range of leisure facilities to support the business strategy of Vision Redbridge.

Thomas Ford & Partners repurposed disused barns and outbuildings to form an essential part of these new facilities. Sensitive repairs to the historic structures and fabric and the redevelopment of the interiors has provided extensive new amenities including a visitor reception area; interpretation space and café; commercial retail, offices and events spaces.
