Hainault Forest Country Park is an extensive ‘edge of London’ landscape and an extremely popular local destination, attracting over half a million visitors every year.

 

A new masterplan for the park has been developed by Jon Sheaff and Associates. The plan will focus on establishing stronger linkages between building uses and the surrounding landscape and on the creation of a range of leisure facilities that will support Vision Redbridge’s business strategy for the park.

 

As an integral part of the design team, Thomas Ford and Partners are redeveloping a collection of neglected and disused barns and outbuildings that will form an essential part of these new facilities. The proposal will include sensitive repairs to the existing buildings historic structure and fabric and the redevelopment of the interiors to provide extensive new amenities including an interpretation space, café, toilets, commercial retail, events space, offices and visitor reception area.
