As Britain's most visited historic building, the iconic Norman keep had to be kept open and attractive to the public during a 2-year work period, partly by providing a rolling programme of temporary exhibitions.  Ten large and historic galleries were refitted, newly serviced, lit and re-displayed in collaboration with Roynane:Design as well as design of new lifts and a shop.

 

Thomas Ford & Partners acted as Lead Consultant to the Historic Royal Palaces and the Royal Armouries with day to day responsibility for managing the team and client. We were also Contract Administrators for phased projects which required ongoing public access to this World Heritage Site.

 

In addition to work at the White Tower, we have also carried out work to the Martin Tower and the wall walks.
